About St. Lucie County Court Records

Court records in St. Lucie County, Florida are spread across several offices, the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, the Circuit Court, the County Court, the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office, and a set of state-level agencies. Finding the right office on the first try saves real time. This site pulls together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of those offices so you can get to the right place without bouncing around government websites.

Why We Built This Site

Florida gives the public broad access to court records under Chapter 119, Florida Statutes. The hard part is knowing which office holds what you need. In St. Lucie County, the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, headed by Michelle R. Miller, handles Circuit Court civil, family, felony, and probate filings. The County Court handles misdemeanors, traffic, small claims, evictions, and lower-value county civil matters up to a statutory limit set by Florida law. The Sheriff runs the jail roster. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement maintains the statewide criminal history database. That is four different agencies before you even get to the Florida Department of Health for vital records. This site maps out each office so you can skip the guesswork.

The Nineteenth Judicial Circuit covers St. Lucie, Martin, Indian River, and Okeechobee counties. St. Lucie County sits within that circuit, and nearly all trial-level cases, felonies, family law, civil circuit matters, and probate, are heard in the Circuit Court at the St. Lucie County Courthouse in Fort Pierce. This site focuses on St. Lucie County specifically, so every address, portal link, and fee listed here points to a St. Lucie office or a statewide tool that includes St. Lucie records.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to the St. Lucie County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit, the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office, or any other Florida government agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific St. Lucie case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

Only the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller or the issuing court can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office in Fort Pierce or Port St. Lucie, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.

Keeping Information Current

Clerk offices move. Hours change. Phone numbers get reassigned. We update pages as we hear about changes, but gaps happen. The Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller maintains a contact page at stlucieclerk.gov/contact-us with current office information. Before you drive to the courthouse in Fort Pierce or the branch office in Port St. Lucie, check that page or call ahead first.
